Social Marketing – One Size Doesn’t Fit All

Social Marketing – the tool in the toolbox that won’t sit still. In mommy language, I wish I could give it a “time out.” Or, maybe just a nap, but either way, as marketers, we can’t stop time and harness the information on this one. We just have to go with it.

Every six months, we revisit social marketing in the DIG programming so that we can have updated conversations internally and externally about what we’re experiencing as strategic marketers. We’ve evolved from basic-use topics to advanced, anticipatory strategies that our clients and colleagues can chew on and implement in their own way. We spend a lot of time looking at B2B and B2C best practices and mixing our tendencies as early adopters with those of shrewd listeners to come up with the best solutions. It moves fast, but we’ve grown accustomed to the pace.

We pulled together the follow-up material from this month in one convenient place below. Make sure you check it out for further reading on Social Marketing:

- A recap of questions we were asked through our new interactivity channels #DIG_Qs on Twitter and DIG_Qs@WerkshopMarketing.com
- More on B2C social media from Tasti D-Lite

NEXT Nashville DIG: Wed., March 23 (Winning Fame & Fortune with Content Marketing)

WERKSHOP INSTITUTE PRESENTS
THE MARCH NASHVILLE DIG:

Winning Fame & Fortune (Web Traffic & Leads) with Content Marketing

Wednesday, March 23rd
8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Register for FREE at http://marchnashdig.eventbrite.com/.

It’s no secret that people search Google for all sorts of services, including healthcare, accounting, architecture, technology, legal work, engineering and consulting of all sorts. But how well is your firm or client doing at making sure it can be easily found online and that website visitors will be moved to follow up?

One of the biggest questions on the minds of prospective customers who don’t know your firm or client well is likely to be “Do these people know what they are talking about?” You can tell them you are the greatest on your website and hope they believe you. Or you can prove it to them with content that demonstrates your authority, from your website and blog, to white papers, webinars and videos.

This presentation walks you through practical steps that service businesses can take to build a content marketing program that integrates with SEO and social media to attract visitors to your website and convert them into leads. You will also learn why a strong content program is vital to insuring that offline referrals turn into leads.

Speakers:
David Green, Alphanumeric Group
Mary Pollman, Alphanumeric Group
Bob Duthie, bytes of knowledge

Sponsored by Lipscomb University

Continental breakfast will be served starting at 8 a.m.

We encourage you to use the shuttle parking, as parking spaces on campus are limited for large groups during weekday mornings. Thank you!

Soles4Souls Shoe Drive:
Please bring in any used/unwanted shoes to this month’s DIG. We will have a drop box at the registration table.

Soles4Souls is a Nashville-based nonprofit organization that collects excess shoes from footwear companies and closets of individuals across the country in an effort to provide shoes to the estimated 1.4 billion people who do not have adequate footwear. To date, they’ve distributed 13 million pairs of shoes in over 125 countries and almost all 50 states. You can join Soles4Souls in providing hope through a pair of shoes by donating the shoes lying idle in your closets at this month’s Werkshop Marketing DIG.

“We’re grateful to partner with Werkshop Marketing to collect shoes at their next DIG,” said Soles4Souls founder, Wayne Elsey. ”It’s not only an opportunity to share about our cause with some of Nashville’s sharpest business minds, but a chance for the Nashville community to change lives around the world with the excess shoes that are just taking up space in their closets.”

Please join us and share your brainstorming techniques as well.
