Jennifer Sheets — Vice President / Creative Director
Originally schooled in psychology and special ed, New Englander Jennifer Sheets eventually landed in the wild world of marketing — a place where the psych degree has come in handy. After three years in marketing/design for CGU (Aviva) involving an international merger/rebranding, followed by a seven-year stint in Marketing as Art Director for the NHL’s Nashville Predators, Jenn teamed up with Werkshop principal Holly Grenvicz at Fresh Dirt Marketing in 2007 and hasn’t looked back. She oversees all aspects of Werkshop’s creative execution, plays a big role in strategy sessions, and keeps us updated on the latest industry news and advances. Adventure, determination and quick thinking are in Jenn’s blood- she has a relative that was on the Mayflower- the only known person who managed to reboard the ship after falling off.
Home life: Jenn is married to Luke, a successful songwriter and all-around cool guy. They live in Nashville with their two dogs, Vega and Mike. She spends what little free time she has frequenting “Nashville Originals,” wine tastings, concerts and sporting events.
Likes: Italian food, “Arrested Development,” the idea of self-actualization
Why marketing?: “I love what I do because it allows me to use both the analytical and creative sides of my brain. It makes for an achy brain sometimes, but it keeps me on my toes and keeps my ideas fresh. Where else would I use the particular set of skills I’ve acquired over the years — Special Ed, Psychology, Visual Communications, Marketing — I mean, really?”
Favorite past projects: Played a lead role in coordination of the collaborative film/music project called “The Nashville 9”; worked with NFL, NBA and NHL teams — as well as government agencies, restaurants and more — under the freelance umbrella of BrownCow Creative
