Matthew Wilson — Art Director
Matthew Taylor Wilson is a husband. A father. An illustrator and designer, and occasionally a drummer. A tour through his office would uncover ‘90s punk rock albums, hand-screened posters, pen-on-napkin drawings and one incredibly small bicycle. His work has been featured everywhere from magazine covers to water towers, and he’d really like to get a nap in before the end of 2011. He’s lived in dozens of places, but claims Athens, Ga. as his “real” hometown. At Werkshop, he sets the artistic tone for every sketch and draft in the building — and provides a good laugh at just the right times.
Home life: Matt and his wife, Sarah, live in Bowling Green, Ky. They have two children — daughter Taylor, 4, and son Jacob, 2 — and more photos on their walls than most homes twice the size.
Likes: A piping-hot cup of coffee, a warm pair of socks, and knowing that even though he’s not reading a good book, someone somewhere is.
Organizations of note:
•Recruiting officer, Robot Liberation Army
•Founder & treasurer, Keepers of the Well-Kept Thing
Education: Bachelor’s in Fine Arts (emphasis on Graphic Design), Western Kentucky University
